When water flow is needed, Engine 454 is more than capable.  This engine is set up for a quick interior attack with numerous pre-connected hand lines.  And, when the situation warrants, large volumes of water can be applied using 3 Deck Guns.  Enjoy the tour.

The Driver's Seat features an air-ride seat.  All Controls are mounted within easy reach.

Engine 454 is an 8-man cab with room for 6 in the jump seat area.  All jump seats are equipped with an SCBA with mask mounted above the firefighter.

The jump seat area also features an "EMS" Cabinet.  We use it to store portable radios and charger, a 4-gas monitor and personal rope bags along with a small refrigerator with bottled water.

Located directly behind the jump seat door is a small cabinet used to store spare SCBA cylinders.  The large cylinder pictured is not part of the cascade system, it is an air cylinder piped to the pump panel for the operator when needed.

The Pump features the Command Zone computerized pump control, digital flow meters and color-coded gauges.  The remote controlled Top Gun features a 4" water-way, capable of flowing up to 2,000 GPM.

The Pump Operator's cabinet is filled with all appliances and spare tools the pump operator may need in the course of an emergency response...hose adaptors, spanner wrenches, hose gaskets, etc.

The SCBA compartment features room for 6 mounted SCBA, 5 spare cylinders and a fold down protector.

The rear most compartment holds various kits, adaptors and the control panel for the 3-cylinder, 6.000 psi cascade system.

The rear of the engine features a rear intake and the rear deck gun, which can also telescope up or be used with the pre-connected portable mount pictures just to the left of the gun.  This gun is capable of flowing 1,250 GPM.  A 26'extension, 12' roof and 10' folding ladder along with pike poles and the electric cord reel are all accessed from two compartments. The camera assisted back-up can be seen in the upper left corner.

The rear also features storage cabinet with a roll-up door.  The rear compartment is used for a small section of 5" LDH, additional foam and some cribbing.

The front of the engine features a front intake and the front gun, which is pre-piped and can be removed to become portable.  The base for the front gun is kept in a compartment on the front bumper.  This gun is capable of flowing 1,250GPM.

The Officer's Seat features an SCBA mounting as well as easy access to emergency and scene lighting as well as foot pedals for sirens and air horn.  The radio is mounted on a swivel to give access to either the Officer or the Driver.

Located directly behind the jump seat door on the curb side is a small cabinet used to store spare SCBA cylinders.  The large cylinder pictured is not part of the cascade system, it is an air cylinder piped to the pump panel for the operator when needed.  Next to this air cylinder is the Officer's Carry (Haligan Bar & Flat-head Ax).

This compartment, located in front of the rear tire, holds additional kits as well as portable lighting and utility rope.

The compartment above the wheels on the curb side is for the various extinguishers carried.

The last compartment on the curb side features an array of engine company tools, saws and a PPV fan.
