Mahanoy City Emergency Medical Services Inc. provides 24 hour Basic Life Support Services to all of Mahanoy City and Mahanoy Township.  Our ambulances are equipped with the newest lifesaving technology including Automatic External Defibrillators, and Automated Vital Sign Monitors. 

 In certain situations, paramedics are needed to perform advanced techniques and they are provided by Shenandoah Advanced Life Support and Pottsville Advanced Life Support.

Our ambulances are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by a career Emergency Medical Technician.  The other half of the ambulance, the driver, is supported solely by volunteers.  All of our volunteers are trained in CPR and must maintain First Responder certification if they are not an EMT or Paramedic.  MCEMS maintains high standards on their equipment and their personnel through the financial support of the community through our annual subscription drive and third party billing.  Subscriptions are good for one year and are distributed to every residence within the coverage area.  If you are new to the area or haven't received a subscription form, please give us a call at anytime.
